This is me: A 20-year-old Colombian born and raised Muslim revert, obsessed with and currently studying FASHION!!!! This is my diary, kind of a public way to express everything that is inside me, everything that I like, everything that I enjoy. Words, thoughts and image in my head are what you will find here.

  • Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Colombia.

  • Where do you live?

In Bogota, Colombia.

  • What Religion do you practice? 

I am a Muslim, I converted/reverted two years ago. (For further information about that CLICK HERE to read about how I made the decision)

  • Are your parents Muslim as well?
Like I said I am a revert, and unfortunately no other member of my family is a Muslim…Inshallah some day!
  • Are there many Muslims or a big Muslim community where you live?
NOT AT ALL!
  • How old are you? 

I’m 20 years old.

  • What do you do in life? 

I am a full time Fashion Marketing and Communication student and part-time blogger.

  • Where do you study? 

I study in LaSalle College international, in their Bogota quarters. 

  • Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get inspired from my life: everything I see, the events in my life, the lessons I’ve learnt throughout the years and definitively the people in my life.

  • Do you desig clothes and sell them?
At the moment I design JUST some of my own clothes, I do intend to create business but it will be in the future, inshallah.
  • What are your fashion essentials? 
Defintately for me would be:
  1. A black coat.
  2. A maxi bag.
  3. A good pair of shoes.
  4. A simple hijab of course!!!
  • Who are you favorite designers?
There are soooo many out there with fabulous concepts and so much new talent that they tend to change, but ATM my obsessions are.

  2. Hussein Chalyan

  • Your MUST in beauty products?
I personally don’t have any favorite beauty/makeup brands. I tend to just try the best options for me and test what is new in the market. However there are 3 products that I sincerely believe a gil cannot live without:
  1. Moisturizer
  2. Concealer
  3. Mascara
  • When it comes to Islamic clothing where do you buy your clothes? 
I very rarely buy Islamic clothing from any shop or designer. I mostly make my own Islamic clothes, because I really don’t like any of the things out there.
